Been a hell of a long time since I made a claim of that type. My memory says it's easy, but who knows.

While the jack is on sale right now for a great price.. Its a $350 jack normally and I'd be ok with a bit of a PITA to replace it if need be.
I think it is easy. My moms SUV was stolen from Southcentre. Bunch of personal stuff inside. Submitted a few receipts for some stuff that was inside, did not submit receipt for all of the stuff, received compensation for all. Just submitted a list with approximate values. This was 15 years ago mind you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

As an adult with home coverage…
I had my Tag blow off my wrist, never to be seen again after the airbag went off… I simply told the adjuster I had it on, sent a link to it showing current MSRP, and they waived the home policy deductible and sent me the “depreciated” value right away, with the ability to get full MSRP if I showed proof within a year that I replaced it.
This is where the police dash cam would come in handy as they were right behind me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

That would probably work. Better to have that stuff in place and not need it, than the other way around. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Truck is repairable. I am 100% not at fault. (shocker).
Woop woop.

That being repairable is a shock to me. Hope it all gets sorted out soon. You'll have to drive the samurai until then.

couple of bed sides and some paint. voila. bed sides are surprisingly cheap vs a truck replacement. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

$22k repair with used parts? That’s an oof.
Experienced this already. Years ago a tow truck driver with a flat bed side swiped my Gen 2 RX350 - $21k of repairs using used parts courtesy of Statefarm. Had to go back too cuz their used parts, the side markers and signal lights all leaked and had condensation...anyway I tried to go after statefarm with a diminished value claim as I felt at that much damage, the car should've been written off. Both Statefarm and the guy that hit me, his insurance company, gave me nothing because diminished value is not covered by insurance providers in Alberta. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Yeah took a hit selling it because of the $21k repair on file.

Not a bad driver thread, but more of a question. Sorry for the video quality, I think it lost some detail in the upload.
But I saw this car pull a guy over on westbound 16ave going up towards the ski hill. It had red/blue flashing lights (front and back) but on some shitty Oldsmobile or something, pulling over another Oldsmobile. Definitely looked like a personal car with red/blue lights. Those taillights flickering isn't the video quality, his taillights were strobing red/blue.
Guy who got out was in full cop gear, vest that said POLICE on the back. Couldn't tell if he had a gun, and I don't remember seeing a red stripe down the pants leg which I thought CPD had? Maybe they got rid of those.
Anyway, again the video doesn't give the best view, but has anyone seen or been pulled over by an obviously not CPD-issued vehicle? Seems fishy to me. I'm thinking I would've done the slow-roll and checked with 911 before I pulled over.
Note, also edited down to remove the first 10 seconds of hard braking where cars scattered over the lanes and about 4 rear-enders almost happened. A very bad place to pull over. This video was after everyone regrouped and started moving forward again.
Def sketchy in my opinion. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That looks like a gen 2 mazda 6 - 2007-2013 MY and def not police issued.

Agreed, I'd report that to police, they aren't big fans of people impersonating a police officer. Good side hustle though if you don't get caught; pull people over and make it obvious you take cash bribes/blowies.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
