CPS / HAWCS in Aspen yesterday

Anyone know why CPS / HAWCS were hovering around the Aspen Woods area last night at 10:15pm till around 11ish pm?

Who cares? I see HAWC's flying around at least three times a week in any given part of the NW. I'm sure it's even more frequent in other places (NE).

Went for a ride a long time ago in it and they are not allowed to use IR to search for grow-ops. Not sure the rules, but it's strictly forbidden.

That being said I'm sure that there have been numerous "anonymous" tips generated after a "sighting" haha.

Agreed.... I'm sure such an incredible tool doesn't go completely unused - Even if only to illuminate houses of interest, or to confirm rumors.

I imagine the advent of the home data-center has muddied the water. I know a few turbo nerds that must stand out to the FLIR.
