I found one company that is already experimenting with Electrochromic Tinting. What does Beyond think about the future of tinting?

Oh if I see anyone with this I will have the same opinion as people who wear the glasses. If I tint my car, i want it looking like that all the time. For current applications, I know the new SLK has a roof with the electric one that can change transparency.
1: Why are you wearing sunglasses inside?
2: These arn't sunglasses, they are transitions!
If it's the same as Transitions, then your windows will be prone to yellowing.
Hated Transitions for this reason.
Ive been readin a bit about transitions, its not perfected by any means but down the road perhaps front window "transitions" tint would perfected? Maybe also be accepted by Alberta law? As opposed to the current u get a ticket for tinted front windows. I thought about transitions for my glasses but have never been convinced i would ever be happy with them.Originally posted by schocker

You get a ticket not because it's tint, but because it's a coating overlaid on the original approved glass. Any film, clear, transition, or opague will result in tint if you're caught.Originally posted by MGCM

Not sure your catching the idea quite right, if in 5 years the technology is perfected perhaps it would be applicable in automotives, even on front windows. All speculation of course but one can dream.Originally posted by Tik-Tok

SPD-glass made by Research Frontiers looks to be making leaps and bounds in the industry.
You get a ticket because it obstructs a Police Officer from being able to see into your car and identify the driver and occupants. Regardless of if its tint, or transitions glass, it will probably be illegal.Originally posted by Tik-Tok
