High-end Business Laptops

I am looking for a Calgary retailer who sells high-end business laptops. ThinkPad X1 Carbons, Asus B series, Toshiba Tecras and Hp Elites. All of the popular retailers like BB, Future Shop, Memory Express only stock personal/home/gaming and have little selection for business-grade units.

I want a local retailer because I need three or four laptops in the next few days.

I don't think there are any local retailers for Lenovo products, that aside the company I work for can order them but I doubt they would be here in a couple days depending on the specs you want

Most places will not stock those laptops as they're fairly expensive, and low volume. They will special order as needed.

This is the Lenovo "Topseller" list for Q3:

The X1 Carbon is on the list, part number is 34442HU. However, it's the TopSeller product so it's a set configuration and you can't customize it.

I did a quick distribution check online and it appears there are 9 located at Techdata in Markham. MemEx or any other Lenovo reseller can order them in for you and fly them in if required. Edit: I may be wrong about the stock as the tool just showed an update from "9" down to "0".

Yeah I'm not sure what to do. Most of the high end laptops do not have the specs I need without going over 2300

I built a Dell Precision M4700 but it ended up costing $2,244.90. Which is a lot for a laptop that isn't quad-core.

Suggest you call a VAR like memx/LVS/compucom/compugen, give them your timeline, your requirements, and have them do the work for you.
