Cat's take up too much power. Usually worth 6 or 7 hps to be rid of it.

maybe with an old cat on a turbo car. I absolutely did not gain 6 hp from getting rid of my cat! Im actually thinking of getting a high flow, you save the environment and quite down the car. nothing wrong with high flow. worth 23hp i hear, but only when used in conjunction with a 'GT-R' sticker.

yeah, i have three cats, sky, mason, and dolly. they don't seem to mind the exhaust much.

I just went to pick your part and picked up a big 3 inch cat froma diesel. so now my car can breath and so can I.

it is so imoral to remove your cat.

I still got my cat. Not much of a difference with or without N/A anyways but when I install turbo then I'm going 2.5 inch cat-less.

the ultimate super tricky mod .........if the cops in ure area do visual checks more aften than in my area(never) find an old cat from a junkyard, RAM a pipe through it, and voila, the world's least restrictive hi-flow cat! just dont inhale the fumes...

Makes a huge difference on a turbo to remove the cat. Unfortunately noise is the tradeoff. Definately not worth it on an N/A car.

There is definatly a different sound but I wouldn'y say it is louder.

I can feel a loss of some low end torque but a increase of hp in the upper range.

It does stink sometimes, but it is cheaper than a new cat

I have my cat still, i got a cat back exhaust. I know someone with a civic (obd2) that removed his and got a test pipe, and it throws some code or the cel light comes on. i rather keep mine in.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Weld in a bung so you can keep the 2nd O2 Sensor and you should be fine man...

I sell Magnaflow high flow cats which are that restrictive that are avaialble with single and dual o2 sensor provisions.

Some cars can benifit greatly with the removal of an old dirty cat, or a highly restrictive model. Turbo cars can usually gain a fair bit, but it should be noted that on a stock Honda, there is a difference of only 1 or 2 hp at the wheels when dyno tested between cat and no cat.

I would say that the new exhaust note when you remove your caty is raspy, not louder. Except when you step on it. Turbo's work as a muffler a little. the spool up on my 14b was way faster (like about 500 rpms) but I did a downpipe at the same time so it's hard to say. We will have to see about my new 16g when the motor is broken in. Has a nice hum though. No cat is the way to go.
