Default Helped a random after hit and run last night

I was driving home last night around 130am on center street and passing 25 ave when I saw a TSX run a stop side and t-bone a black sunfire. I was amazed how many people saw the accident and kept driving....

I pulled over and crossed 4 lanes (safely) to get closer to the two others that collided when the TSX just starts to bolt. Instinct came in and I pulled up to the sunfire and asked him if he was ok...he seemed shaking up but I then told him to jump in and we proceeded to find the tsx but the tsx was too fast and we tried to follow the trail of missing bumper pieces.

I stuck with the guy until he called police and I later followed up with the fellow who got hit and he said the police found an abandoned TSX on someones lawn later that night.

Good on you for stopping and helping. Can't believe some people would just keep driving past!!

I was very surprised nobody else stopped, there were at least 3 other cars that witness the same thing.

    Update:

Talk to the guy who got hit today and he was wondering if i got a good look of the driver. The owner of the car is claiming the car was stolen (big surprise). The car that hit him insurance said they will not pay him out and he only has liability insurance on his car.

Isnt there something that will cover him?

^ The insurance policy on the RSX should cover it, provided it did have valid insurance at the time of the accident.
You should PM Masked Bandit about the details of it though.

I had messaged the person that got hit a Merry Christmas and he told me that his insurance isn't covering his car because he only has one way insurance and they were not able to confirm who was driving the other car.

I feel really bad for the guy because it doesn't seem like he has much and his Sunfire got written off. Is there anything that he can do or isn't there a goverment fund to cover stuff like this? Doesn't seem fair that someone gets hit by a drunk driver and is stuck for the bill.

I cannot believe I am suggesting this, being that I pretty much believe people need to make their own choices in life free from big brother.... You should not be able to buy one-way insurance for this very reason, governments are there to protect people from people in an ideal world. Looks to be a failure in this case. It's news to me that you can even buy this type of insurance at all, savings must be pretty small.

Call Masked Bandit, he knows his stuff and can direct you to any positive outcome.
