I kind of liked the Jungle gold one. The two Americans got a warning gunshot from the Chinese gold miners, after being kicked off the first claim that had nearly a thousand gold claimjumpers. Side deal for a two ounce ball of unrefined gold. Calling home to the wife and kids by videophone to pay some bills (now that they are a few million in debt from previously being in real estate in a down market)

$100 toll to pass through a town (haggled down to $20) Absolutely no different than a truck stop to Alaska through Canadas borders.

Real life in all its glory - hole.

Agreed.

I usually stop watching after a couple of episodes. Once I see how they operate I am done with the show. The drama is stupid and the show gets boring.

I also hate how it seems like A&E, History, TLC, NatGeo and Discovery all chase and duplicate the SAME topics over and over again. How many picking, mining, truckdriving, pawnshop, auction, fishing, extreme living shows do we really need?

I miss shows like Dirty Jobs where it was different every time.
