no matter what app it is, I'm sure it won't run on my work issued BB curve 9300. FML FWP FTW!

I can browse fine, replying sucks because the text box is all weird and doesn't let you go back and edit what you wrote easily.

    Android phone.

Half my posts are done on my iPhone or iPad, including huge walls of texts. 70% of all mobile traffic on Beyond comes from iOS. So ya, draw your own conclusions lol.

Look, an edit on the iPhone! We've actually made changes over the last year to make it more iPhone and iPad friendly. We like the single user experience on mobile or desktop platforms.

On the android phone browser, replying's a pain.

Yeah if they fix the text box then it would work great. I think its just the phone browsers causing the problem though. When you click the textbox the browser seems to try and center the page around the textbox. Might have some issue doing it with the smiley panel on the left. Other forums without the panel seem to center the textbox just fine

I had occasional problems on my S3 but after I made Chrome the default browser for Beyond, I haven't had a single issue.

I love that fact that it's exactly the same whether on phone/pc/tablet.

The only conclusion to draw from this is since it sucks browsing on any other device people don't bother. If a few tweaks were made to use the site on other devices you'd probably get more mobile traffic and you would see the numbers change.

I really hope you don't assume 70% of beyond users have iOS.

Doubtful. I've browsed on Android phones and tablets and it's fine. I haven't tried replying, but that should not deter users from viewing the site on Android devices. So I do firmly believe that 70% of beyond users are iOS users. Either that, or I'm there way too much tilting the statistics lol.

In any case, kenny made a small change last night to remove the quick smiles from mobile devices. Let me know if that's any better, I don't have an Android handy to test it. Let's just hope he didn't make it iOS specific lol.

We do not support tapatalk. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, our goal is to have a consistent experience regardless of where you're browsing from. Tapatalk sites are much too simplistic for our tastes.

If we were more US centric, then yes, tapatalk is a must, because US 3G networks suck and it's tough to browse due to lack of bandwidth. We don't have such problems in Canada.

LOL it's just iPhone (not even iOS) specific for now for testing. A few changes were made to the site last night to make it easier to use on small screens and there is a few more that I haven't gotten around to.

Browsing with Chrome in Android is major PITA for me, so I just use my other devices. For me, the biggest issue is that I can't see entire pages from side-to-side. This makes it a major pain to browse as I have to constantly scroll left to right when browsing. If I zoom out to fit the entire width, the text is too small to comfortably read. This is a problem even when holding my phone "sideways." I do notice on many pages that there is a lot of excess space without words that adds to the width of the page - it would be great if that could be removed somehow.

I'm not posting this to complain about it, just giving feedback in case it's useful.

On my iPhone it's fine. Double tap to zoom in on just the post portion works well. On galaxy s3 in chrome it's ok too.

Instead of having an app (no clue how tapatalk works) u could just have a mobile site that's somewhat simpler...? Not sure if it would be a major pain in the ass to code lol

    forums.redflagdeals.com
    f.redflagdeals.com

That's the best comparison I can think of...
And ppl can choose which they prefer? I dunno..
One difference is no emoticons I believe on the mobile site forums.redflagdeals.com
    f.redflagdeals.com

But it goes against ur keeping everything similar thing...as it looks totally different

Howardforums is ok...but not as nice IMO

    //edit
If the links aren't cool feel free to delete this...I clearly don't own either site
I'm just trying to give an example of a mobile site done pretty well IMO
