Default Able to get lower clearance price?

I put a $2k deposit down on a bike back in Oct. The salesman and I agreed to a price, and wrote out a bill of sale. I've also indicated that I wanted the bike to be sitting in the crate throughtout winter in their storage facility. I've asked the salesman to give me a call once he find out what the VIN # of the bike is but he never did. I never bothered calling him either.

Just a few days ago, I was told by a friend that the dealership is now clearing out the same bikes for less than what the price was in Oct.

The question is: is it possible for me to get that current lower price since all I did was put a $2k deposit down? Or is the bill of sale pretty much sums up what I have to pay for the final price that was determined back in Oct?

I guess unless they agree to tear up the original bill of sale and write a new one, you're still gonna pay the original price.

It's in Edmonton. I'm assuming you're in Calgary?

Unfortunately I don't know anyone in E-town except for a few reps from aftermarket companies, sorry!

go ask them. it may be possible. if they give you grief, talk to the manager. You may end up paying the full amount, but if your persistant they should let it go for the lower price. or maybe give you goodies like gear or suspension upgrades...
