LoL , DOTA2, Or Smite?

Just wondering if you guys have any experience with all three and what you prefer?

What do you find is the most casual of the games?

What do you find is the most competitive?

Which has the best community?

etc. questions of that ilk

I've played LoL and I've enjoyed it but I get super tired of the games that drag out for around 1 hr , also the community is.... interesting.

Does anybody have first hand experience with these three? Right now I'm downloading Smite so I'll give that a shot... I've been watching videos of DOTA2, but dont really wanna shell out $30 if it's basically LoL, re-skinned.

Much appreciated for any thoughts/input!

I have played Dota 2 a couple times. Super difficult as I wasn't sure what was going on and my team was getting pretty fed up. I think I still have some invites if you want one.

Dota 2 is the EXACT same game as DOTA 1, just updated graphics.

LoL is the standard Moba game nowadays.

Smite is a great new idea, however, I find it still extremely unbalanced.

Regardless which game you play, ALL MOBA games have complete shitheads plaguing the communities.

Having played them all for countless hours, if you can handle the moba community, LoL is still the way to go.

Every community is toxic as heck.

If you're choosing between LoL vs Dota2, figure out which one you like more. You'll be getting elitist on each side telling you to play the one they thing is "better". You're better off playing the one you like more because they play quite differently.

All communities are so unbelievably bad that unless you're in the top few % of players skill-wise, you will probably stop playing after not very long due to the other people in your games. Matchmaking is broken as well. The sheer number of people you will encounter whose sole purpose is to ruin your game will utterly blow your mind.

DOTA2 is identical to DOTA1

LoL has the worst community of any game I've ever experienced in my entire life, and still has bugs & issues after 3+ years.

DOTA is the lesser of the evils in my opinion.

i could never get into HoN or LoL, never heard of Smite.
Used to play DOTA with friends back in my SAIT days, I try to play a game or two of DOTA2 every so often but I tend to play 5vsCPU mainly.

Waiting for neverwinter to go live, I hate playing in Beta's because i hate getting my character wiped. I don't like re-doing a lot of early game quests because by the time I decide on a class I've done them about 3-4 times anyway, and in the beta that is about 2-3 more times I would have had to done them, so i burn out easier if i do beta's (i find).

Giving DOTA 2 a shot today, played LoL for the last few days and had some fun. I'm not lookign at getting super competitive with any game, just want to have fun when i have 1-2 hours to kill

Dota 2 - If you have played Dota this isn't too bad to pick up. I like Dota 2, but I just find the play and competition in League is far superior. Maybe it'll grow to that level eventually but for me it is like playing in the NHL vs the WHL.

Smite - Great idea, super fun to play. I love playing this game, but mainly because people are god awful. It is really unbalanced and if you have experience in any MOBA this will be a cake walk. That was 3 months ago though, so my opinion varies as I haven't played games too much as of lately.

League - Probably the best overall MOBA generally speaking. Easy enough to pick up but hard enough to compete. Not much to speak to since you already have played league.

Communities all suck but that is just how a MOBA is. You have a team of 5 and if one person is bad it stands out like a sore thumb. This isn't WoW where PVP is 10+ People where you can blend in if you suck. That's the only real difference as to why people rage in LoL because you can easily point out and see faults. Not only that but because faults are costly too.

If you are into new games..

Warframe is badass, i've clocked 120 hours into this game in under a month. High addictive, basically borderlands on steroids.
