And yet, thanks to the current government we get minimum mandatory sentencing.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I was really hoping BC would be the first, their economy needs a boost in the arm and the first place in will end up dominating the global market.

Funny thing about the US is that it's still Federally illegal, so sure, the local sheriff will leave you alone, then the DEA and FBI show up with an army of SWAT operatives and private contractors to blow your shit up because they don't give a shit about Colorado laws.
How does that work?
Being legal by state law and illegal by federal law?Originally posted by lilmira

I've heard a bunch of different stuff, but the way Obama put it when he was talking about it, they're supposed to leave the medicinal dispensaries that are non-profit alone, and just go after dealers and illegal grow ops. That hasn't happened though

I think they will respect the state law. It'll be a big unnecessary shit storm for Obama if federal agencies go after people/legal businesses CO and WA.
the DEA have been doing it for years in cali... dont see this being any differentOriginally posted by sabad66

So it's illegal in the country except in Colorado? Unless the law is very well defined, wouldn't it create a whole shit storm? I'm no legal consultant but it sounds like a can or worms.
Six plants.
Damn, lookout for the genetically altered giant purple elephant variety.
Legal to carry an ounce on your person. Double Daaamn, most people don't even carry that much nickel.

California was different. It was legalized for medical and a lot of those dispensaries that were busted were pretty shady. The ones following the rules were fine.Originally posted by ercchry

This is full legalization for recreational use that was voted in so I think it'll be different... We'll see how it goes soon enough.
I am going to do this and will smuggle it across state lines back home! I haven't had any weed in like 2 years so this is going to be awesome.Originally posted by ercchry

It says in the link that they'll only sell 1/4oz to non-Colorado residents. I'm assuming it'll be dispensaries until they open up the full blown stores. However, you could probably stand on any street corner in any city and ask 3 people and at least 2 would tell you where to get some lol.Originally posted by FixedGear
