Did you give it a try? Z6 isn't even in production yet, so it'll be a while until I get to try it out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I briefly played with it and the Z 35mm 1.8 lens, AF to me felt acceptable (think A7 series speed), IMO not as quick or snappier than the X-T3 but then I was testing a 35mm lens.
Ergonomics, size and weight of these mirrorless bodies are definitely more comfortable and feel closer to the film cameras, EVF is nice and big although although felt low-contrast.
They have adapter for F mount lenses to try with.
Saw this on my news feed and thought it sounded cool and not too unreasonable in price.

Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 is the World’s Widest Rectilinear Prime Lens
Samyang has just announced the XP 10mm f/3.5, the world’s widest rectilinear prime lens. The lens beats Venus Optics’ Laowa 12mm f/2.8 lens and offers the same focal length as the Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 FE (a slower non-prime lens).
The new Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 is designed for full-frame cameras and offers a 130° “distortion-free” angle of view, suitable genres such as landscape and architecture.
Samyang says the optical quality of the lens is good enough for cameras that capture 50+ megapixel photos and 8K video.
Features and specs include 18 elements in 11 groups, a minimum focusing distance of 10.2 inches (26cm), and an ultra-multi-coating tech that reduces flare and ghosting.
The Samyang/Rokinon XP 10mm f/3.5 will be available in the Canon EF-mount in the spring of 2019 with a price tag of €1,099, or about $1,250. A Nikon F-mount version will follow within “a few months” of the Canon version.
@blitz any interest on the Leica Q2?
Too rich for me, but I'm thinking of getting a portable travel camera, torned between the new GR III or the X100F.
Did you pre-order your GR III at TCS?
Not worth upgrading for me. 24mp is more than enough for me since I hate cropping. Weather sealing is nice, but $250 USD batteries that don’t have a cheap Panasonic equivalent sucks. New EVF too, but the existing one is still great.
I did pre order the GRIII from TCS, no timeframe yet but other are saying March 18th
How are you liking your Z6, Ryan? Technical specs aside, how does it compare in terms of real world use compared to the A7 you used to have?
I'll stop by TCS and see if they have the new GR to play with.
They have the Panasonic S1 and S1R demo event today too. I will never buy it but curious to give it a try.
The Z6 is tempting once AF speed is up with Sony and if I can use my Loxia lens on it.
Pixel peeping to a whole new level!

Got some new Adobe updates this afternoon. I'm working in LR right now and the AI masking and content-aware cloning tools are game-changers for me!! I'm really really impressed at their AI tech.
PS also updated to a 2023 version but I haven't explored that quite yet because it's so impressive what LR can do on its own now.

Its always funny seeing old kickstarters that were funded. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Estimated delivery: July 2021 then every updated is still filled with people complaining they haven't got their order over a year past expected.
And it's in stock at BH too, lol. Backers got a discount but that's a hell of a wait. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I chickened out after so many people complaining about it early on. A lot of companies are trying to basically get large volume orders before the product is even live (which eventually would be anyways) by "crowd funding". Such a crock

About time. They’re the last to do it, even apple got it done for iOS 16 haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I’ve been using LR classic more lately, redoing old photos. It’s incredible on the M1 macs. I missed the touchscreen of the surface pro so I used my iPad as an extra monitor wirelessly, moved Lr classic to that screen and it supports the Apple Pencil. Workflows are so damn fast. Perfect setup. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Well, this is a surprise, DPReview will soon be gone.
Dear readers,
After nearly 25 years of operation, DPReview will be closing in the near future. This difficult decision is part of the annual operating plan review that our parent company shared earlier this year.
The site will remain active until April 10, and the editorial team is still working on reviews and looking forward to delivering some of our best-ever content.
Yeah I saw that today, pretty crazy. Their forum was huge.
Yeah I saw that on Reddit. Something about Amazon buying them/closing them?
