I've been at Symons Valley Storage
http://www.symonsvalleyrvstorage.com/
Been there for about 1.5 years and have not had any issues. Store a tent trailer and based on a 24' trailer looks to be $60 per month. Just a dirt lot and I find it easy to access the facility and the lots themselves.
Important to me was access outside of business hours for no additional cost. When I spoke with Shorty's the initial price seemed ok, but they had extra charges if you wanted access outside of business hours (that may have changed since I spoke with them over a year ago).
Looks to be about 15 minutes from Airdrie

there are a couple yards just the other side of deerfoot on 36th, by all the auto recyclers...iirc their rates are pretty decent.

I've been using Shorty's for a few years now and find them excellent. Sorry to hear your first contact with them was poor. I like that they're always doing constant upgrades and improvements. They keep the yard clean and organized and the security is good.
I store mine at a lot at 316 36 ave NE, two minutes away from my house. Cost is $65 a month, and you get your own key so you have 24h access. Not a huge lot, so some of the spots are a little hard to back into. My first spot was a nightmare, but the one I currently have is no issues.
It's usually pretty full, but you could give the guy a call. Incidentally, the guys' name is Guy, prounounced the english way. Cracks me up every time for some reason.
Phone number is visible in google streetview. No website.

Yeah, if you work friday, then go get your trailer, then drive home to pack it, and then try to leave town, that's not ideal for your current location. What I usually do is pick the trailer up Thursday, load it thursday night, and try to leave town earlier on friday. or leave on Saturday morning. that's actually an awesome way to do it, camp saturday to monday, basically no traffic either way.

It seems like we get killed around Calgary/Airdrie. I have family in Strathmore that only pay$250 a year for storage.
I'm in the storagemart lot by the Airdrie airport.
I'm looking into someplace new that will plow you out in the winter (we camp in the winter too), they don't where I am now. It'd be nice to have a sani-dump as well.
I'm also looking at the lot just north of Crossfield, it's a bit cheaper than the rest but pretty sure it doesn't have a sani-dump.

Sucks to live in an area with front drives if you have a trailer. I have a lot of parking options on my block, even some places where i can leave it for up to a week, and nobody cares because we have so much street parking.

I thought you had 72 hours to move a trailer...Originally posted by Cos
Yeah if I had somewhere to keep it overnight I would do that. Unforunately we cant park it legally at our house.
Unless you have no street parking available and you would be blocking your neighbors...

i have my trailer stored at a yard just east of 84st on 17th ave s.e.
i am at about $60/month for my 40' pull through spot. this place also has rodent control which was a huge selling point for me. probably too far for you though.

You can have your trailer parked directly adjacent to your property that the trailer is registered to it, for a maximum for 24 hours. During that time, it must always be connected to a tow vehicle that is properly registered and insured. Additionally, the trailer may not return for a period of no less than 48 hours.
I had a whole fuss over this with the CPA, and a prosecutor over this, as I thought something similar to you.

Not that this is going to help you as a potential location but I'm currently at a place called Alberta South Storage (I think) and for a 31 ft trailer (bumper to hitch) I'm at $49 a month. It's not the greatest place though, could use some more gravel and the parking spots get a bit muddy in the spring. But it's only 10 minutes from my house.

I was storing my 30' fifth wheel on an acreage/farm between Calgary and and airdrie just west of balzac for $40/mo.
I found them on Kijiji and was out there for 3 years with no issues. They had about 6 RV's out there. I sold my trailer in the fall so no longer need storage but a couple of my coworkers are storing there now.
Look around kijiji. $70/mo is ridiculous!!
