Haha, wow."Last year alone, Calgary's streets were flooded with people of wrong sexual preferences during a homosexual parade of over 30,000 attendees and none of them were embarrassed the slightest to publicly even present their nakedness in front of families and in front of future generations to openly proclaim and manifest that they are not ashamed to declare the name of their master (Satan) and in the same way not concerned with provoking greatly the wrath of the living God."
Haha
the guy is a grade A moron

That quote wasn't his
Yes we know, it's still amazing that he chose to associate with them.
Its amazing that someone can dig up a quote from the pastor's personal view on a blog/website, then some how apply that view to a event which features numerous other charities and sponsors which are made up of diverse views. Then not only equate the quote to the whole event, but somehow assume that a politician who attend s the event somehow shares the personal viewpoint of one organizer.
Really shows how high the intolerance is, not only are we attacking people who don't share the same moral viewpoint, were going to attack those who simply associate with them even if they don't share that view.
^ it is sitting right on the march's website.
Normally I would agree, but did you read that quote? It is one thing to say "I disagree with blatant sex acts in public places", I could get on board with that, but they take it to a whole new wacky level. Not a smart political move to be affiliated with that kind of stuff. Kind of like Ron Paul in the USA and all his white supremacist connections.Originally posted by HuMz

That's a perfect press release. Other politicians could learn from this guy. I love how he breaks it down for the stupid people.
What else is he going to say when he didn't do research.Originally posted by 01RedDX
So basically his excuse for associating with this hate group is that he was "celebrating diversity." hahaha
So celebrating diversity and touting his Catholic heritage are the only way out.
I thought blinky is smarter and more knowledgeable then that too.

If there's a faster way to lose the secular vote, I can't think of it. What a bonehead move.
Im sure his opponents are busy trying to figure out how many OTHER extremists hes supposedly supporting - whats next, he went to a Gurdwara that also hosts people on CSIS terror watch list?I have also attended events with other faith communities, including Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus, Jews and secular events 1
McIvor just wanted to get some face time at a rally - and ends up being hounded for "associating by proxy" with nut jobs.
Weird world we live in - being a politician is all about PR

Just to clarify, the quote on the homosexual pride March is based on one article off of the marchforjesus website, the quote about homosexuals causing the flood is a personal statement from the pastor of the street church.
It's important to note that the purpose of the event is too March for Jesus and glorify him, which is what everyone was there to do. Not to slander or protest homosexuals, and just because one paragraph in an article written by someone off the website is disrespectful, doesn't speak for Rick or the majority of people there.
If the marches purpose was to protest homosexuality then I can see how people can take issue with a politician attending.
It was a March for Jesus, look at the pictures. If it was a March against homosexuality wouldn't there signs, mission statement on there Facebook group, and t-shirts indicate as such?Originally posted by Sugarphreak
This is the problem:
It isn't a march for Jesus, it is a march against homosexuality... and that is without doubt supporting discrimination. There are plenty of other ways to celebrate his own Roman Catholic faith than participating in this kind of crap.
All of that said, maybe this is a subtle way to get back some of the WR supporters
I actually really liked the guy, but I seriously thought he was smart enough not to partake in something like this with his leadership vote coming up
