It's kind of frustrating when the police issues very limited details like 'their disappearance is suspicious'. It's like an FB friend who says "had a very frustrating day" and then baiting someone to ask the question 'what's wrong' but never replies.
But piecing together what's out there, it appears mom dropped off their kid to stay with grandpa/grandma, next morning they are gone, and it looks like ALL THREE were abducted, not just the kid.
Hopefully everyone is found safe and sound. Couldn't imagine what the parents are going through. But the same time, hopefully grandma and grandpa are doing their best to protect the kid, IF that is the story.
NVM: more clarification finally. Just wish they would've said yesterday the grandparents are not considered suspects.

Scary shit.

You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
CTV had that info early yesterday already, that the grandparents weren't considered suspects. Not sure why globals story was missing so much info.

Can't compare situations like this to some petty FB drama. The media is a good outlet for some investigative techniques. They release limited and sometime misleading info. Then when they have a person or persons of interest in mind they run surveillance, maybe detain and interrogate and look for any inconsistency between the unreleased information they have and what they released to the public. If a person of interest knows stuff that hasn't been released next step is confirming how and either moving him/her up or down the suspect list accordingly. This isn't CIA conspiracy shit- this is very real and happens every day and is how a lot of crimes get solved. And it's a win-win for the media outlet too, because when a story such as this lacks info it is highly marketable and guaran dam teed people like you are gonna follow the story every day so they get to cram advertising down more people's throats too. That's the conspiracy part lol.Originally posted by clem24

Sounds like some small details are starting to come out..
-Grandparents had an Estate Sale at their house that day.. So its possible someone came back from the sale to try and take the cash?
-Apparently there was blood found at the scene
Pretty messed up.. hope they find them
Originally, I thought, grandparents snapped.
Seems very odd. There were inital reports that family said the house was left in a state that was uncharacteristic.
I heard they were planning to move to Mexico hence estate sale? Confirm?
Seems weird because, why would you not just downsize slowly then move to Mexico for the winters? It's like someone was after them.
Heard they are moving North. But that's the early hours of the story.Originally posted by mr2mike

The only theory that make sense is estate sales robbery.
Geez that family photo in the link should be the textbook international standard for what kidnapping/ransom/extortion victims look like!
Now drag tracks.

Let's keep in mind that the house disarray, the tracks, etc, could have been staged.
Why do the grandparents have mug shots? haha

From what I have read, all cars were accounted for and they were moving up North.
Chances are they're not too far from their home. From what I can recall with any kidnapping where the people are enslaved in the house, then they escape years later, they're only a km or so from their homes.
Guess it depends what the motive was for the kidnapping. Money, getting a child, revenge, etc. This is just too bizzare.
Seeing the parents pleading on the news last night at the press conference was friggin heartbreaking. Hope something comes out soon, doesn't sound like anyone knows wtf is going on, police included.
Ultracrepidarian
Police are asking people who were at the estate sale to report what they bought. Are they thinking it was a robbery? Seems highly unusual that anyone robbing the place would kidnap 3 people.
There's got to me more to this than just that.

I think they held out hope that it's kidnapping.Originally posted by Tik-Tok

But probably robbery gone wrong and we are looking for bodies.

Pure speculation but these could be linked. As possibly police DO know more but are withholding the info as part of their strategy.Originally posted by Tik-Tok

In any case I really hope everyone is found safe and sound. Couldn't even begin to imagine what it's like to have your child (and parents for that matter) vanish like that.

I'm sure the police are looking very hard at the parents, just the way it goes.
The brazenness of subduing, then removing 3 people from the property most likely means it was someone very close to the parents, intimate knowledge of the house and all.
10pm is a late drop off for a five year old?
My wife said that too. Also weird only one child out of three was dropped off for an over-night with grandparents?Originally posted by WhippWhapp
