Wifi/network deadbolts that work with LAN without subscription

Does anyone know if this item or another deadbolt can work over LAN ? (without paying the maker a monthly fee) I searched and even called the product support line and they said they are not sure.

The lock works great, and you do *NOT* need to buy the Schlage bridge or pay the Schlage monthly service.
