iPad dash on my X5 brings the dash height down for better visibility
Also, I don't have to look down while I input address to the touch pad iDrive, I don't have to take my eyes away from the road completely

Why are the photos so edited? Makes the car look bad

Also, visibility out of any of those vehicles looks quite good regardless of the placement of the panel and as such, it still comes down to aesthetics. Touching a panel regardless of where's it's mounted is going to distract a driver unless you're a special kind of superhero or a driving ninja.

...the new X5 also has HUD, and the screen is not a touch panel
Compare the E70 dashboard to the F15 dashboard, it's an improvement
I really do dis-like the direction Mercedes has taken with regards to styling of the front and rear of their line up. Just looks big and bulky IMO. It doesn't look classy or sophisticated nor does it scream performance...
It's just.... FAT!
Choosing this thread to bump as there are many. Right form the AMG boss the C63 estate has NOT been written off for NA...

It's weak but it's something. I think the enthusiasts voices are being heard!!!But one doesn’t get to be the head of AMG by being namby-pamby, and the Freiburg native is soon back on the horse, expounding upon the fantasticness of the AMG C-class line, suggesting that an estate version might make it to our shores. “Looking forward to the C wagon and sedan . . .” A pause. “Well, not the wagon, because Americans don’t like it. But the E63 wagon is a very accepted car in the U.S. And maybe so in the future with the C wagon.” If this is true, 93 percent of American automotive journalists just retired to their bunks.

^^ Nice
This is a proper successor to the old car. Except for the rear styling Its just not aggressive enough on the exterior.

Why is it that all the sudden there is radio silence on 4matic for this? 6 months ago it seemed like a near certainty and now im reading articles pointing to the exact opposite?

4Matic was removed from the equation nearly 2 years ago. It's the reason I bought an E63 and didn't wait for this car.

The only people that claimed 4matic was coming for the C63 were the people wishing it was and wrote stupid stories about confirmation from dealers, who just wanted people to lay down deposits and told them whatever they wanted to hear.

Makes sense.
Esp with the C 450 AMG Sport 4matic ( they gotto cut that down somehow lol) coming out. which will be quite fast, and much more comfortable.

I don't think the C450 will be that comfortable. It has the 3 stage dampers from the C63. It won't be as stiff, but it won't have the comfort that the air ride system in the C400 offers. It does have the 4matic from the AMG's though with a 33/67 split.
I almost went with the C450 over the GLA45 mostly because of how awesome the C interior is, but decided against it because the GLA45 had more room, and looked better.

How is the GLA suspension in comparison if you know?Originally posted by rage2

I'm trying to decide which way to go is best for a moderate to small sized comfortable year rounder to pair with a summer car.
as an example i don't find my msport suspension stiff with the adjustable dampers in comfort. But i know AMG suspension can be very jarring
