    Yea a couple years ago i saw in the herald an article about cube shaped watermelons, look cool, but are a complete waste of time and effort. Unless they taste different, then maybes its worth it .

    they made those so they can stack them on top of each other for easy storage, cos of the lack of space in japan

    People just grow them in moulds, I've seen square ones probably makes cuting a lot easier.
