Lol, plain English right?
Lol. Gotta agree with FixedGear on this one. I hate that drive, so I don't work downtown, pretty simpleOriginally posted by FixedGear
No one is holding a gun to everyone's head forcing them to drive into the core every rush hour.
You can't possibly claim to be as smart as you have been known to do while not understanding basic concepts like an oxymoron.

So...... you're saying that no one HAS to work downtown? Or that no one HAS to drive to work? Interesting position either way.Originally posted by btimbit

Edit - this isn't the thread for the debate, I was just curious what validated his position on the topic. Like I said, at least he has a legitimate interest.

Well, technically both, but I'll likely not see the day that I stop driving to work. So the first oneOriginally posted by JRSC00LUDE

Well, if no one has to work downtown, why do you need a downtown?
Bike lanes can't be put in places that already have traffic flow issues unless they are separate from traffic or you have the money to add, without taking away. I consider myself an avid cyclist, but I don't commute. It doesn't make sense year round. If I do it in the summer, I don't need a special lane. If one could be made, that was beneficial to both parties, awesome.

If there was more parking at the train stations I probably wouldn't drive downtown. I'm sure as hell not going to take a bus to the train, though.Originally posted by FixedGear

I agree with your point entirely, just saying if someone hated the drive so much, why go?Originally posted by JRSC00LUDE

1) Drivers without headlights on
2) Drivers who do not know how to properly sit in a turn lane
3) People with high beams on all over the place
4) Headlights of the new busses
I can turn this more into a rant than a dislike about Calgary lol.

We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.

Agreed though. A city this size with no motorsports culture? Even Medicine frickin' Hat has a track
