Pretty sure you can get off road mode with a change of TCM and a few other bits.
I know I can get my E-diff to lock in 2wd mode with about $150 worth of raptor parts. The Off road mode, you have to buy another computer and swap it out.

The Raptor can lock the e-diff in 2WD. You need a new switch and some sort of module depending on the year and model of F-150 you have.
It will still disengage. With off-road mode, the disengage speed is higher than standard.

I have an e-locker but it dis-engages above 50km/h then re-engages when you drop below 50 again.

No I can do it in 2WD. I have the Auto-4WD transfer case. You guys with the FX4 can only do it in 4WD as you get actual 3WD (both rear one front) where was mine would only ever be 2WD.
but I have an open 3.73 diff with a locker, that can be engaged in 2wd... I believe it stays engaged to about 50km (maybe?) but re-engages only when you get back below I think 25
That was a pretty good episode! It kinda finished odd though! And the new lexus does suck. I drove one when I was doing a shoot with two LFAs here.. It felt like an Acura TL

There is a massive difference between a F150 and a Hennessey Velociraptor. Its like comparing a Civic to a Ferrari.

I can engage the Diff Lock in 2WD in my FX4? Use it all the time in winter. I don't have 4x4 auto though.Originally posted by Cos

The ELD is affected by the following conditions:
• The ELD will not engage if the vehicle speed is above 20 mph (32 km/h) in 4x2, 4x4 Auto, or 4x4 High modes.
• The ELD will not engage if the vehicle speed is above or 56 mph (90 km/h) in 4X4 Low.
• The ELD will not engage if the accelerator pedal is pressed beyond 50% during an engagement attempt
• In 4x2, 4x4 Auto, and 4x4 High modes, the ELD will automatically disengage at speeds above 25 mph (41 km/h) and will automatically reengage at speeds below 20 mph (32 km/h).
• In 4L (4X4 low), the ELD will automatically disengage at speeds above 62 mph (100 km/h) and will automatically reengage at speeds below 56 mph (90 km/h).
• The AdvanceTrac system has the ability to take over control of the ELD and disable it during driving maneuvers when necessary.
If I'm being redundant, just ignore me.. my brain is cooked this morning..

the intresting thing is, running "locked" in 2wd is not benefical when on ice apparently... even though your axels are locked at equal speeds, the spinning one will generate momentum and the engine will generate torque causing the one with "traction" to potentially break that traction.
what a number of people have said is... run without traction control, by pressing that advance track once.
it remove the "invasive" power reduction on the throttle that the ESP does, but still has another level of traction control, which more mimics a limted slip.
On "snowy/icy" days that I can run in 2wd, I do that. then switch to 4 if needed
IF its really icy and I know I need to accellerate to merge into traffic, I'll turn off the ESP, put it into 4wd high and gun it
esspecially on Ghost Lake doing 4 wheel driftsOriginally posted by codetrap
You're right on the lock.. I don't run it because it gives me better traction really.. I run it because it's more fun.

Oh really? I guess I misunderstood on IMDB. It only showed 7 episodes under Season 22 and I assumed that's all it had. Oh well I guess I will start watching the first 7 and by the time I am done the rest will be done too.
