Default Another "help me find my next car"

I'm looking for a new used car but can't seem to get even my 'fav 3'. Here's what it should have:
    - 4 doors
    - 5 seats
    - 6 spd
    - no clunks/ rattles i.e. well built
    - fewer electronics (pre-2010?)

I don't mind spending extra for the initial purchase but would like to stay on the lower end of maintenance issues. Car will not be modified. Overall a car that you can drive daily and live with, but also take it out on a fun drive late at night.

    Few that came to mind:
    - Acura SH-AWD
    - E39 M5
    - etc?

What about a 2007-2008 G35S, or 2010+ G37S, kind of hard to find here but it fits all your criteria.

2009+ Acura TL. I think there was a 2011? model that was for sale on here for $20k obo, probably gone by now though. It was 6 speed too iirc.

    What is your budget?

You mention you want to avoid maintenance costs but list the E39 M5? It's my favourite of the cars you listed, and will hold its value if you keep it up.

If you want something newer, the Passat CC came with a 6sp manual, and it was actually pretty fun to drive, but again maintenance higher than the Japanese cars.

^I've read horror stories for E39 but I'm not sure how bad it would be. I can dream right?

G35/7 is okay but hasn't been revised for so so long.

My budget is roughly $20k but it's flexible for the right combo.

As long as the typical problem areas are fixed, a 2004-2007 V should be decent. And for up to $20k, you'll get one in good shape.

Not crazy power but relatively fun to drive. Nav sucks in it though.

The G definitely won't be the most revised, or fun, or fastest of what you could get but for a DD that's still fun it would probably last you forever.

Gen 1 or 2 Honda Fit?

Might not be fast but they are fun to drive. Very practical, cheap on gas. Stupid simple to maintain as well.

I think it's the best sedan ever made. Make sure you limit your search to 2001 to 2003 cars as they have the updated VANOS and a couple other improvements.

Resale hasn't been great on them, so you can get late 2000's one under 20K. Solid vehicle, great engine, 6spd manual available in many:

Take this one as an example: 15K asking price with just 100K on the ODO

But all older Audis looks so dated already now lol
