    EI @ max is $2056 a month after tax.

    SP earns that much a week, so he's earning over $80 an hour from his part time week. Thats a lot of dough, and that's a reduction already from earnings pre this oil mess.

    Im kind of surprised a company hired for so much $$ in this oil climate, although im not really up to par with how much contractors get paid in calgary, being in IT i've not seen too many contract offerings at $80+ per hour unless you are brilliant.

    $80 contracting is pretty attainable in Oil and Gas I say....all seniors should be getting this at least, and probably a quarter of the intermediate designers are getting this too now.....

    It's not how much you earn, it's how much you burn. My gf does a great job of helping me with the burning part. Let's take some heat off sugarphreak now.

    $80/hr is a decent take home rate today if you don't have to pay a pimp, considering there are so many other contractors out there probably willing to low ball ya.
