This is a pretty common GM theme for export. A lot of dealers were also doing 6 month leases and then exporting as soon as the warranty is good cross border. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'm on my second 6 month lease with GSL. 1500 Denali for the first one and Silverado High Country for my current one. Both were under $400 per month with small security deposit(1 month), first and last month payments and their doc fee. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I assume these are in house leases too? I used to work for GSL and still do a lot of business with them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyone have a line on a Ford dealer doing this?

It's with Alberta Leaseco, with GSL being the dealership. Hopefully this answers your question. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
To clarify.. I have a business registered to my home address (that the auto lease is under) that owns a percentage in another company, so I was told travelling between the two locations would count as a write off. Id be surprised if he was wrong, as this was only 2 months ago I went through it all. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Interesting, I didn't know they did such short term leases. Do you have to know someone there to get this or is it for public? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

What are the mileage allowances like for a 6 month term? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Holding co (home based) owns percentage of the other company but I do also receive a paycheque from...I could be completely wrong on the auto lease, but I went through it a few months back with our accountant. He suggested this was the only way to include any sort of write off for my commute. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would agree on that, but also don’t know what the complications are with being a shareholder but also an employee of the office you’re commuting to?
Aaron is also a beyonder, I believe his username is Ukyo8. Alberta Leaseco is what I consider GSL’s in house lease company I guess. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
So you are telling one can lease a $70K truck for less than $400/mth?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
At times you could lease $50K ATS4 2.0T's for $299/mo for only 2 years, $400/mo for a $70k vehicle is almost an exact porportional equivalent of that deal if GM is offering similar promotions. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Aaron is a good guy, I would definitely recommend him if you need something from GM.

My ATS lease was $228/month but only 12k/year.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's awesome, I didn't know they got that low. Actually makes $400/mo sound really expensive for a $70K vehicle Should only cost around $320/mo with the same proportions as your deal. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you commute to the second business more than a couple times it would not be considered business kms. How the companies and vehicles are owned doesn’t really matter. It’s a pretty common case. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Mileage is 12,000 kms for 6 months, so pretty reasonable. I forgot there was a $1000 down payment, but still, the effective payment is still reasonable for how expensive the truck would normally be.
Where do you see the lease rate at 0.9%? I don't see it on Lexus of Calgary or Royal Oak website. I am interested at this offer as well. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
