HANNOVER, Germany — The friendly soccer game between Germany and the Netherlands was canceled at short notice because of the serious threat of an attack at the stadium — and local media report police found an explosive-laden ambulance nearby...

...“We had concrete evidence that someone wanted to set off an explosive device in the stadium,” Hannover police chief Volker Kluwe told German TV.

Good on the authorities to stop this in time. This would have been devastating, killing possibly thousands, had it not been located in time. How ugly that would have been?

All three nations have significant amounts of air power at their disposal...and the USA has a fairly large air base in Ramstein Germany.

Isn't there some prophesy about when the caliphate is reformed all the Christians will descend upon Iraq and the levant in a final bloody war where all the true Islamic believers will be delivered to paradise in the final reckoning?

Probably completely butchered but basically from what I understood they were using this to try and pull the world into an all out war against them in the hopes that it will trigger God into redeeming them all.

There is a Robert Heinlein quote that goes something like "being religious is a form of conceit".
