Can you look at ceiling cassette units? Same ductless unit just in a different form factor for the indoor part, here's 2 options.

    18000 BTU Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioner - Heat Pump - SENA/18HF/IC - Senville.ca

    24000 BTU Concealed Duct Air Conditioner - Heat Pump - SENA/24HF/ID - Senville.ca

Tbh I don’t recall the garage in Kelowna ever getting unbearably hot, though we had minimal windows.

Maybe just skip the AC and rough in the in floor and see how it goes?

Nothing stopping you from adding a ductless system later really.

In floor is super nice, except when it’s on and you’re under a car struggling to do something then you’re sweating your sack off haha… but I think you’re more of a car parking kinda guy so you’d love it. When you go out in socks it’s real nice.

In floor, with floor drain (line style), best for a snowy climate.

Adding wall mounted AC later always an option.

Thanks a lot for the quick input gents. Infloor it is.
@JfuckinC haha definitely more of a car parking kind of guy but I will tinker on the older stuff. Maybe I’ll start doing more once I have a good place for it.

    Cheers everyone

Good move - we went with a heat pump in Montana (which I would think is comparable to BC) and wish we went with in-floor.

Yo bro, are you from that goat Calgary car forum that get salty over lawn care, land rovers and circumcisions? That's straight fire.

Worst case you don’t use it, but you can never add it later without great expense.

I’m debating a full tear down of my garage and not having this done is at least a decent chunk of why.

Yeah, that was my worries. I’d have the slab poured and regret it the next day. Needed to make the decision today because they needed to prep the base for whatever I chose to take advantage of the warm weather. Didn’t get the quotes until this morning in true builder fashion so had to make a quick choice. Thanks all

Update on the Cdn Tire set I bought during the holidays. I put most of it together right away, but I had to wait until tire swap season to make enough room for the full install, also hanging those shelves etc... Plus, where I'm insisting on putting it covers some outlets which needed some finesse.
Anyway, I finally got it done and starting to load them up. I'm really happy with it and I think it looks good.

It will also be easy to move when I decide to slap some primer & paint on those shitty walls.

Damn that looks great. What was total cost again?

Ive got husky toolbox and workbench. Might finish it off with a tall cabinet and call it a day.

Looks good, do they happen to have one with a sink?

Working on my garage now. Feeling lost on how to design it haha.

I believe it was just a shade over $1,800 by the time the dust settles on all the weird discounts and rebates.

I dream of designing a standalone, massive but shallow sink basin mounted in a small rectangle of counter that will fold up against the wall when not in use 98% of the time.
But, no - I guarantee Cdn Tire won't have one with a sink.

Yeah I think I’ll look into that.

We got a quote from a garage cabinet company, $6500 to do this (fridge not included but sink in counter). Seemed like a rip off

The newage stuff has been discussed extensively throughout the thread. Seems like it is a costco product with most Beyonders having paid ~2k for entire wall setups. 6500? no.

For example, here is part of @88CRX 's setup: https://forums.beyond.ca/attachment....9&d=1651467140

Looks good, almost a little too commercial kitcheny with the stainless but still good haha.

I always thought you were just a regular angry weirdo on a car forum but you got rims and tires everywhere so that's out the window, guess you are a car guy. What are those rims for and can you please post a photo on a car??!

He has more cylinders under the hood than most of us. I think he has the same number of cylinders firing in that head of his but firing order is definitely off.

Just noticed the power bar TPIM has on the wall. Great idea.

Pretty sure New Age Pro stuff has a sink base option.

But i just have the non-pro peasant New Age cabinets. And last I checked it was better IMO to just order directly from New Age. Lots more options.

But I love mine. Great stuff. Still have a couple wall cabinets to hang one of these years.

Mighty Penis… paint those walls dude! Can’t have yellow drywall with boogie cabinets.
