better than uncle weiner, I didn't mean to make it sound that bad. When on sale, I think the mastercraft is same value-for-money as princess auto, at least in terms of hand tools. Costs only a little, more, and is only a little better.

Mastercraft Maximum has been a noticeable step in quality above Power Fist for me, PF is largely disposable. Pro Point is about equivalent to Mastercraft but doesn't get as good of sales. PA does have a couple of slightly higher-tier brands (eg. Titan) that can be worthwhile when on sale, but they gripe and moan about warranty replacements so I tend to stick with Canadian Tire.

Stanley warranty is not through the store, its direct from Stanley. The warranty is okay, but shit that didn't break repeatedly would be better. Have had to get several Stanley ratchet handles replaced.

Yeah the Stanley warranty is via mail and not as convenient as the CT one. However, Stanley has been good on the warranty side for both my bottom-tier Stanley stuff and my nice Proto gear.

Someone in that area must have a doormat that reads "Come and knock on our door".

Depending on where the in floor heat rough are it’s not a fatal thing to add later I guess.

If the heating is right up to the door then you are kind of hopped I guess.

DDE expanding into Kamloops? Not sure I'd want to live in a junk yard, but then again that's everywhere BC outside Vancouver.

As someone who likes to change things up in the garage often, I’m debating putting slat wall on all the vertical surfaces.
I got the Husky stuff and it's totally worth it (in Canada it's the same as Proslat so you can use their gear hooks - I have a couple things like the big ball basket & sports gear ones)

I had access to sheets of FRP wall protection from my old work for free (someone ordered the wrong colour "white" for a hospital project, lol) so I did that on the lower 4 feet with slatwall above on one side. Totally worth it since and splashes or dirt I can just wipe right down. I'll grab a picture when I get home.
