App just needs to be running in the background - You need to sync it every time you close the task.

I typically turn it on when jump into my car.

The update also introduced safetynet which blocks rooted users from playing the game which is pissing off a ton of people. And not just people trying to cheat, some off brand android phones that are rooted from factory now cannot play at all.

or, they could have not given the buddy system at all and you can not have those free candies and continue grinding for rares... lol, cant please some people.

Pokemesh is by far the best mapping app, but its only android, and you need to make some fake
accounts for scanning (the more accounts you have the faster you can scan).. it will get you banned if you use your pokemon account.

I wish there was a tracker as to how many potions I've thrown out.

Seriously, its got to be over a thousand by now, even though my bag has been upgraded twice by coins from gyms.

Canada is not really as combative as the states? I hear online about some people complaining that they don't get enough potions.

I guess it depends how much you play. I thought I had more than I ever needed. Ever. Until one day I took about 8-9 gyms. By the time I cashed out, I had maybe 10-11 Max Potions left and 1 Revive. I started the day with over 30-40 of each (Normal, Super, Hyper, Max).
