You don't have any psychic types powered at all? Even to 30? What you could do in the meantime is just evolve some espeon from wild catch Eevees, as long as as their attack stat is decently high

I have one Espeon and one exeggutor with confusion/solar beam at level 30.5, along with a max dragonite. Filler is a max Entei max Vaporeon and whatever.

It still *not quite* enough to solo machamp for me, and it doesn't help that android pretty much steals three to five seconds off the timer before it even loads. Any lag whatsoever, and its an exercise in futility.

Using level 20 Lugia is about the same as using Max entei or vaporeon too, if I don't get Mewtwo soon - I might power one up to 30.5 just so that I can grab machamps.

Double stardust soon... Sounds like there will be awesome November weather here too, so you can try and get to the 500 per day pokemon limit (before the "soft ban" kicks in) I've never come close, but I will be outside catching for sure.

How many Lugia do you have? The game seems to like to auto pick my level 20 Lugias over my 26-27 Espeons

I've got six of all legendaries. Aside from MewTwo, Lugia is the tanky counter for Machamp.

I greatly prefer tank counters because with glass counters it often requires you to dodge. I did powerup a Gengar for other fights... Big mistake if you don't dodge.

Made it to level 39. Now the uphill battle to 40.

Congrats! Now's a good time to grind for it. Good weather, double XP and soon to be double stardust too!

Now that double stardust is around: All the pokemon that are hardest to catch, the most dodgy and ball breaking, are spawning now.

    Well played Niantic, well played.

    Finally soloed dynamic punch Machamp.

Espeon, Alakazam, Exeggutor (level 30.5) Dragonite (level 39) and Lugia (level 25)

Didn't bother to level up Lugia that much, and the sixth pokemon is often filler for me. Entei at level 39 probably would have been a better choice, but oh wells.

Machamp is half useful as you can get a team of six level 20 and take on porygon as a raid boss.

Ho-oh is Raid boss for two weeks.

Now is a good time to powerup an electric type (in addition to already powering up a couple Golems at the very start) Zapdos, Raikou, Jolteon just in case you get a solar beam Ho-oh.

Went out today at lunch for the double Neon Ladder, then Chief Sitting Eagle - easily 60+ raiding at both right at the hatch time, plus tons still coming after we finished.

    https://pokemongohub.net/generation-3/weather-guide/

50 Generation 3 pokemon to be released at end of week, and also: Weather.

Also rumored is a double stardust consumable like a lucky egg is to XP.

Be on lookout for very high level wild weather pokemon.

Looks like powering up Entei was a good idea. Calgary is usually mostly sunny and no so much snowy (big sky) Fire Spin gets 14+3 and Overheat 160+32 in sunny or clear weather.
