Default FS: 1983 s10 pickup 2.8L 5 speed Extended cab...

great beater... the odometer says 251,000 but it stopped working about a month ago... ( i have only drivin the truck to and from york for the past 2 months thats like 3KM a day)

also about a month ago i swapped the engine, the old engine spun a bearing and threw a rod out the side of the block... the new engine has unknown milage on it... came out of a jeep...

the box is fairly rusted at the very back on the bottom... good work truck...

oh, i have also added an Air Horn in place of the stock horn... and i put in an h4 headlight conversion, so you can just buy the bulbs instead of the whole sealed beam.

also there is no stereo in it.

also i realise it has a chevy grill in it, it is actually a gmc s15 not a chevy s10

also, since the pics were taken the fogs are gone, the grille is missing a couple peices and the plastic where the fogs are/were is busted.

    PICS

does it need any mechanical work?

    how are things like...

    - brakes
    - oil consumption
    - differential
    - bearings
    - electrical system

can you foresee anything needing to be done in six months if it was a daily driver?

aside from the rust, and the speedo cable, i dont see any problems with it, i have not done the brakes but i have only had the truck for a few thousand km, they dont squeel, but other than that im not sure...

as for oil consumption, i just changed then engine so im not sure, i haven't driven it enough to really find out.
