I read the Calgary Herald story and they did not publish the names of the shooters thus far. Nicely done. One of the easiest ways to deter these idiots is to ensure that they get zero fame for these types of attacks.

CBC is reporting their names as Alexandre Bissonnette and Mohamed Khadir this morning. Police not releasing anything much yet.

No pics of Khadir yet. Both were students at Universite Laval. Bissonnette is Canadian and Khadir is Moroccan.

It's far more tragic to have this happen at a mosque, a place where they go to meditate, pray, and learn teaching of peace.

Depends on which report is truth, only white kid has confessed to the shooting. The Moroccan sounds like a witeness/person of interest just happen to be praying at that Mosque. The link is they go to the same school.

There were reports of the gunmen shouting "Allahu Akbar" which led me to believe perhaps it was extremist Muslims vs pacifist Muslims, but now it looks like it was a group of cracker bigots killing for hate of their own.

I had really hoped we'd be somewhat isolated from the hate up here. Not isolated from outside terrorism against us as a whole (since that is virtually impossible), but at least not having to experience the mass hate towards Muslims that they are experiencing in the South.

Absolutely revolting this would happen here. I can't help but feel that Trump's stance which is emboldening people in the States to hate Muslims is having an effect here.

Edit: Looks like it wasn't even a group. Just some random crazed idiot.
