2017 Extreme Weather Thread

Just had some wind, a bit of rain and a bit of thunder and lightning in the SW (Haysboro). Wasn't all that much, maybe more to come from the South though.

Hanging out at Northland Mall. Just just beat the crazy rain here, got the two most valuable non garaged cars here at least, but I still hope my Civic doesn't get it.

It's pouring in Aspen, had a clap of thunder that scared the shit out of me.

Woodlands... it's still going. Neighbour has already lost 3 branches and some siding, lights flickering a bit too

Weird as Haysboro is pretty calm at the moment. Looks like my area was just missed by the bigger cell. What hit me was a narrow band branching off the main cell. Looks like there's more to come though.

We're always right on the edge of systems... always fun after a snow storm and driving towards south centre and seeing a clear line of snow ending

Unfortunately, it was a work trip. Got home at 11, quickly ate a little bit and didn't go to bed till after 12. Now I'm back in the office.

If it was vacation, I would have stayed for the weekend.

I'm going to be a storm chaser this summer. Need to get my beater tow rig hit with some big hail this season.

One hell of a storm heading towards Calgary. Currently in Strathmore and its a torrential downpour for the last ~30mins, heavy winds, light hail etc...
