It makes it easy for me to only buy like one switch game a year. Boxing day might give $20-30 off so might as well wait for that unless you are keen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Pro controllers are a must.
They were on sale on Boxing Day a couple yrs ago for $49.99.
Mario Odyssey is good if you're into that. Similar to Sunshine.
Lots of varieties of games that I enjoy like Arms, Mario x Rabbids, Smash Bros.. I am excited for the new Pokemon Snap in 2021.

You could simply sell the machine. I believe they are a partially scarce item leading into Xmas 2020.
It's no "Stop Touching Me Elmo" but there is demand.
I bought one, didn’t end up using it. Didn’t have games that appealed to me enough. My vote is sell it haha.
If you decide to keep it, screen protector. They scratch easily apparently.
Bought one for the kids. They don't use it. I've never tried. That's all I know.

We have one. It's fun to play Mario Kart on the big screen from time to time and there's lots of addicting little games good for killing time on flights or during layovers. The wireless controllers work just fine through a wall ~15 feet away from the console. There's also some fitness games which might become more useful in the quarantine. A lot of Steam games can run on it as well.
Curious as to why some of you think $80 for a game is expensive - even if you only play it for 8 hours and never play again, that's $10/hr for the entertainment which is about as cheap as it gets these days for most paid activities I can think of.
Black Friday and Boxing Day always have bundles to get a free 'premium' game with the Switch which is nice if you're planning on buying one anyway.
Probably all pretty irrelevant as I imagine the damn thing will be sitting on my desk at work for 2 months waiting for me lol
I guess it would be fun to play a couple Zelda games I missed, does switch have a classic game catalogue? That’s the kind of stuff I could get behind.

If you get nintendo online, I think like $25 a year or something, you can play digitally some new and snes games

I picked up the Zelda for the wife yesterday for $44 through the Argentina store. They have Odyssey for the same price.

Amazon and some other retailers have BOGO 50% currently. Black Friday was cheaper though at $50.
I’m currently hunting around to see if I have a needy family in my social circle who it would make a bigger difference to.
I scanned through the games and it seems like a collossal waste for me to use a console to play Zelda and then probably never use it, was hoping for a more robust “virtual console” like the wii (I remember getting the n64 zeldas etc on that which was a fun nostalgia trip) but it doesn’t look like that’s a thing based on the games listed for sale online or through their monthly service.
A switch plus a couple games ( Mario something and Mario kart) would be pretty awesome for a needy family IMO.

Yeah, it's been the top selling console for like 2 years now. It's still pretty high in demand. I'm sure someone could definitely use it.
I pretty much never use mine anymore.
Found a very needy Syrian refugee family that my mother in law’s friend sponsors, single mother with 3 boys in the ideal age group and I confirmed they wouldn’t sell it.
It will do much better good with them than being another toy that sits on the shelf for me.
