Got my 4th vole the other night.
Still have half a dozen traps out and a couple bait/poison stations.

How do you dispose of these? Just straight up garbage? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yes the traps are super cheap and they often get covered in blood so i wouldn't want to touch that afterwards. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've been known to reuse them. Shake corpse into compost green bin. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Laugh. Reset trap.
Profit.
Wash hands.

Not sure if it was the best way, but I had gloves on and gave it a good chop with a small shovel before even touching the trap.
Wonder if they left a death scent that warns others cuz Day 2 and 3 yielded nothing...
Nope. Vermin return. They'll stand on their sister's dead body to lick the remaining peanut butter off of a tripped trap. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Cat has figured out where they live. Definitely a nest of something under this shitty old deck.

^ smoke them out!
I needed an excuse to pull up the deck anyway. It’s a huge POS. So it will be going.
I need to drove to Vulcan tomorrow anyway so I’ll stop in at a UFA somewhere.

Caught one right at the head. I’m gonna leave the trap out. I’ll probably get a few more traps and fix the gap under my steps. I can’t really eliminate them but at least try to keep them off my property.
I caught one out front on Monday. Big fucker.
Doubled up my traps but my wife and cat have been seeing them in the back yard. Need to be more careful with the cat and friends dogs back here so I have to be make strategic with my traps.
Of course UFA was closed on sundays when I was driving through.

I set up a bunch of PVC pipe poison bait tubes for them, they're going to town on one of them, and not so much the others. Hardly anything in the front but I smoked out my landing and it must be a huge cavity because it just hung under there. Hopefully killed a bunch.

FUCK! They burrowed into the side of my house through my back steps, I’ve caught 5 in less than 24 hours including one inside the house

Baited box traps are where it's at. Mice/voles will go in, then others will wanna know whats up and come in for a visit. I've had more than one mouse in my baited box trap in my backyard multiple times. Plus it's completely dog/kid safe.
They don’t seem to sell them, I checked Home Depot and amazon

The Catchmaster one is the one I have; I like it better because the top cover is clear so you can see if you have anything in there without opening it up.

Those are just catch boxes, I was referring to the actual poisonThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Example - https://www.homedepot.ca/search?q=mo...mouse%20poison the only thing they list is for rats
I guess when referencing baited, to me that's poison and not just something to lure them in
I didn't want to to shop at a bunch of different stores and hoped home depot would be quicker when I placed my original order

I dont think the smoke bombs work worth a shit... unless they've burrowed under a concrete stair or patio or driveway. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just get like a dozen traps out there ASAP and you'll get them all.
