Xbox All Access subscription

It looks like MS is now offering a 2 year subsricption for the Xbox One S (22$/month) and X (35$/month), at least in the US for now, hopefully it means Canada too in the next couple of days/weeks. (Would be nice if they make it 40 CAD$/month for the X but realistically 45 CAD$?)
You get the console hardware, Xbox Live Gold Subscription and Game Pass.

With the huge library of games that you'll have access with the subscription, IMO this is a pretty good bargain.
Since my only console right now is the PS3 and been planning to buy a Xbox One X later this year for RDR2, this pretty much seals the deal for me.

This does seem pretty decent for one main reason: even if I buy a game for $80, there's like $80+ of DLC. I would assume all access then means access to everything...

I would do this depending on Canadian pricing but at $45/month (assuming that it'll be that) I don't know if it'll be worth $1080 after the 2 years

That and after 2 years you've paid enough to actually buy the system. Lots of poor people out there who will go for this though.

i could see those people who always need the latest and greatest to go for this, that way they dont have to deal with trade ins and lump sum purchases (and assuming this program would be immune to stock shortages)... upgrade as soon as the next iteration is released.

Oh, I thought this was a full on rental. If it's 2 year interest free purchase plan (assuming you actually want game pass + gold) then yea it's worth it.

All Access is only being released in the US for now. No specified dates or plans for Canada.

35US$/month for Xbox One X (you own it after 2 years) with Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold for 24 months is pretty much 0% payment plan, Im tempted as I dont own a newer gen console so this is a good way to get into one without spending 500$ right off the bat

Shitty that DLC is extra as Shelton pointed out but to essentially get have a 0% payment plan is pretty sweet, plus never have to worry about going to the store/buying/selling etc. 2 year "rent-to-own" is also longer than the regular warranty period when bought outright...

Also note that Game Pass isn't *all* games. Pretty much just older games there, with the exception of Microsoft Studio games.

what amazon 20% off are you referring to?
only game i really want to play is RDR2 hence why this subscription with game pass is tempting for additional games.

but at this point, I might just buy a One X console instead, is Xbox Live a requirement or only if i want to play online?

well I just won a barely used Xbox One X with FF Royal and Forza 7 on Ebay for around 495$ including shipping, then with 15% off promo it went down to 420$, hopefully it gets here by Friday
