Default Need help programming compustar remote

My F150 has a compustar starter in it, and it works good with the 1-way remote. The 2-way remote didn't work when I bought it. I got a good deal and I figured I could fix that through the summer.

First I tried putting new battery in that remote, but I'm unable to program.
Later I found a complete unused compustar system with both remotes at a garage sale. Following the programming instructions in the manual, but I'm not able to program the old 2-way, or the "new" 2-way or the new 1-way.

I feel like I'm successfully getting into programming mode, as I'm hearing the confirmation clicks when I expect them.

Since this is my beater truck and it's for sale, I'm not looking to buy more remotes or pay for labour at an alarm shop.

    Suggestions? Next diagnosis steps?

I think the programming sequence is the same for all compustar models. The issue might be that the antenna is not compatible with the "new remotes."

I couldn't find the model number of the "new" remote you're using from this chart:
    https://support.compustar.com/hc/en-...enna_chart.PNG

Since the compustar brains are more or less very similar between models, and also use the same connectors for the antenna, I would try unplugging the old antenna from the brain, plug in the "new" antenna, and try reprogramming with the "new" remotes.

Original. 1 way remote works flawlessly.

try programming the original 1way remote to the compustar.. (to make sure you are correctly entering remote programming, you should hear a click/ park light flash confirmation). I have a feeling you are either no entering the programming mode, or the new remotes are bunk.

Also does the remote start work? (just to rule out the ign fuse isn't blown on the compustar)

I'm getting the confirmation clicks when I enter programming mode, but I'm not getting confirmation click after trying to reprogram even the one 1-way remote that does work. And yes it works for locks as well as remote start (as long as I take it out of valet mode after trying to program).

    Suggestions?

just to make sure, you are cycling the key from position 2-3 (ignition to on) five times and leaving it on on the fifth time? and also pressing lock to program the remote?

you should get one park light flash to confirm you entered programming mode, and when you press lock the remote, it flash once as well.. when it flashes twice you and exited programming. In your 1st post you bought a new compustar system?? have you tried swapping antennas?
