What? All the time. I've never heard a single person use kpa as a spoken measurement. Fucking brits sometimes use bar, but whatever.

I absolutely do volume and pressure calcs in my head.

For anything spoken word, its standard measurements. Any technical documents, metric. Any technical, but non-precision work, back to standard.

I find standard much easier to visualize. And finally, anyone that has ever worked anywhere near a residential or commercial construction site, everything is standard.

So you’re doing ideal gas law, and volume of a vessel calculations in your head? Good for you. Kind of a waste though as I wouldn’t trust your in the head calculation even to give an accurate volume of a cylinder haha

I’m not talking unit conversions if that’s what you’re talking about. That’s not doing volume/pressure calculations FFS!
