I typically buy my steel rims at Costco, but looks like they are out of stock of 19" after their Labour Day sale. Any suggestions on where else I can buy steelies?
GO FLAMES GO!
Steelies are going to be rough this year. Not a lot of supply and inflation is real. If you PM me your specifics I will do some digging for you if you want. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This is what happens when you put microchips into winter steelies! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

We already saw shortages of slicks and 200TW tires this year. My dad had issues getting his hands on winter tires through Porsche back in August, they basically told him we can’t reserve anything or guarantee what tires and wheels we can get this fall, so he went with aftermarket wheels and got tires in early August to avoid shortages.
Yep, winter tires for the ferd are high on my priority list, I'm expecting to not be able to get anything once October rolls around.
Maybe I'm being too picky, but for the past couple of weeks that I've been looking, the used market has been hot garbage. Mostly finding stuff that's worn down to the wear bars or way too old based on the DOT number. The good stuff is priced high so you end up weighing just buying a fully new set instead. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Definitely legit but not across the board. It is more the newer, older and otherwise less common sizes that are a bit of a clusterfuck. The super common stuff is still seeming to be fine. Basically all the oddball shit has been shoved to the back of the production line while everyone is getting caught up on the common stuff that they sell the most of. If what you need is odd, shop early and don't wait to buy it. If what you have is everyday common stuff then you have more leeway. Like always, the sooner you buy the more choices you have, but not everything is a panic. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I hear Bob will take orders today.

Used, IMO, is rarely worth it, as shop rate is too high to justify the swapping of used tires. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I haven't bought used tires in years, if I want cheap, I just call the hundreds of chinese tire resellers on kijiji.
Think I paid $280+cost of studding for a beater bmw I had. $650+gst for last years winters on the Ferd, I destroyed them by not rotating them and driving on them until... Like last month haha

On the bright side hearing your voice while I’m in the shower would’ve been awkward.
