Kyrie to the Lakers right? For Russ and how many 1st rounders? lol
Nets don't have the upper hand in negotiating any deals, so I'd think they'd be accepting the best of the crap offers.

Lakers trade might look something like: Westbrook, Pat Bev & Lonnie Walker for Kyrie & Joe Harris. Nets would obviously want their 2027 & 29 picks but they don't have that leverage anymore. Going to be interesting seeing where Kyrie actually lands.

Let's focus on the critical things.
Which player will wear only one of their limbs covered in a completely mismatched colour to their uniform based on "fashion" and how will this mismatched nonsense affect their new uniforms??!?!!
If I was an 8'-23" dude, I'd def wear a bright purple arm covering over 7/8ths of my left arm in order to... Things, because reasons, anytime!
I can't wait for the first basketball game to record 3-trillion points! We are getting so close!!
This game is def not completely trash and we should all be watching for that exciting milestone of 3-trillion points!
    So excite!

Sorry. That was mean and I was drunk.
I'm just so passionate about my dislike for this game. Seeing that commercial all the time where the guys are pounding their chests? Has no one told them that means you're pretending to be retarded?! Has everyone forgotten that, even in this woke cultural atmosphere?!

Fuck - I'm doing it, again!
I'm really sorry, honestly. I'm truly grateful that so many people find something so entertaining. I think I'm envious.

It's all I can do to not mock it constantly, so please excuse my rants and just ignore me. I can't reduce it to zero, but I can try to reduce it more that this.
    Sorry...

Do we have to start apologizing for drunk posts now? Fuck that's going to be a big burden on some of us.

Man KD lol that bro man. Kyrie was his boy too. The Nets were coming on strong too prior to KD hitting the DL. Ah well. This why NBA and NFL will always > NHL. We all love some drama.

No need for apologies around here!

Lots of teams think they have a legitimate chance to win this year, I think there could be lots of trades by deadline day.
Edit: Maybe KD asks out again like he did over the summer.

Kyrie to the mavs. I wonder how long until that blows up.

Lakers / Mavs were the leading teams to trade for him.

If the Lakers weren't giving up both picks, Nets took the better deal.

Edit: Apparently teams waiting to hear if KD wants out or not (again )

I actually think the Raptors may be a place that KD would want to go.
    1) When Nash was fired, one of his main points of criticism was that they never actually practiced and just did shootarounds all the time.
    2) Back when the Raptors played the Nets in December (I think), the Raptors tried to trap the ballhandler right off the tip. It led to a shooting fould, but what struck me was the interaction between Nurse and KD, who were having a laugh about it. I think KD wants to be coached. Look at his 2016 free agency period when the two strongest contenders were the Brad Stevens-led BOS and Steve Kerr-led GSW, two coaches who were known and respected for their X's and O's. Nurse is similarly regarded in his willingness to try things that don't typically work in the NBA and somehow have them work. Something I think is a testament to him and the players, and is something I think KD craves.

While I don't disagree. I just think it would gut the raps roster too much to make it worthwhile. That Gobert trade in the offseason f'd everything up since the Twolves drastically overpaid for him.

Realistcally it would take Pascal + salary filler of some sort or FVV, GTJ & OG and then what are you left with? Nets probably want Barnes in any trade and while I don't think he should be untouchable, Durant is on the wrong side of his career to give up the best of the teams young guys.

According to woj and windhorst a lot of discussions going on with the raptors. It seems like raptors want to blow it up though. It would be amazing if they got KD instead though.

I read that as well today.

Raps are my favorite team, I'd like them to blow it up to a degree..

FVV + Boucher + Porter Jr to Suns for Ayton & Cam Johnson
OG + Birch to TrailBlazers for Simons + Sharpe

Starting lineup: Simons - GTJ - Barnes - Pascal - Ayton

I could just as easily be convinced totrade Pascal to trailBlazers and keep OG.

Something along the above lines which isn't going to happen
I just think it'll take too much for the the raptors to get KD.

    EDIT:
According to NBA reporter Marc Stein, one of the "possibilities for expanding the Kyrie Irving-to-Dallas trade" before it becomes official would be Brooklyn "packaging Spencer Dinwiddie and draft capital to Toronto in an attempt to acquire Fred VanVleet."
Apparently the Nets - Mavs trade is offical now

I didn't like the idea at first, but I realized I don't totally hate a trade that swaps FVV for Dinwiddie. He'd certainly fit Vision 6-9 better than FVV.

Trade Machine tells me that a FVV-OG for KD works, but it would need some draft capital since Nets traded away all their picks for Harden. Fortunately, Raps have all their picks for the next 6 years.

Dunno how Kyrie & Luka supposed to make them contenders. No size and 2 ball dominating point guards. Kyrie is obviously a bad teammate and nut case.

On another note the playoffs especially the west is WIDE OPEN this year. If Lakers make some moves I could see them sneaking in thru play-in tourney and going a couple rounds deep. Denver & Memphis are not elite or scary teams.

Lakers dodged a bullet not getting Kyrie. He would've been a disaster playing in HOLLYWOOD of all places. Less publicity for him the better.

Half the battle of assembling a team is avoiding low IQ/bad character players.

Not terribly hard to get the money to work, I just think they'd want more than those 2 plus picks.

Kyrie to mavs is a talent upgrade over Spencer and Dorian but I think they will miss Dorian a lot since he typically guarded the other teams best player & was a low maintenance player.

I wouldn't agree saying the mavs are small though.

    Starting 5:
    Kyrie 6'3
    Luka 6'7
    THJ 6'6
    Bullock 6'6
    Wood 6'9

While they have no one for Jokic or other centers like that, not much of the league does anymore.

If Kyrie just plays basketball for the rest of the year (to get his preferred contract), he and Luka could do some damage just on how elite their offense could be. Luka is an offense himself, Kyrie is an elite offensive player as well, going to be interesting to see how it works out.

This is the definition of 'small ball'. 4 guards and a rail skinny center that jacks 3's. They're also the size of a college bball team. Gonzaga starting 5 is bigger than this line up.

Their "bigs" are hurt currently I believe, they still have Javale Mcgee as a true center

Most of the league is small ball with the exception of Embiid & Jokic, there are no centers you need to carry multiple big centers for anymore.
