Also Shell's global re-org will have some cuts in Canada but too early to know numbers at this point.
Heard the Suncor one will start with management 1st before Christmas. Then once the musical chair stops, it will trickle down in 2021.

2 quarters in 2020 has resulted in $4.2B losses. I have heard rumored 3rd quarter loss will be similar to 1st. They have to do something.

Shell sounds like also want to do 10-12% cut in head counts from the numbers.

But they're not auto workers with no education so does this matter?

Are the other big producers seeing similar losses on their balance sheets?

If you are interested in losses on the balance sheet wait until you see the write downs on the reserve books after redeterminations.

Is "I want to plant my dick deep in the guts of this job" the kind of thing you put in a cover letter, or should I save that for an interview closing line?

Skip that in the cover letter. That's as Closing Time as Leonard Cohen.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the next round hits Calgary.

Heard Oct 14 is another day at Husky. Working there over the last few years must been nerving racking. Or you're numb to it. Sucks either way.

Hmm. making people returning to office starting in Oct slowly make sense.......

Laid off while WFH is a huge PITA.

I mean, if you are doing the firing, laying people off while they aren’t there is the dream lmao

There is no good way to be laid off, the least contact the better hah.

I see no reason why you can’t be fired via text message.

The mighty CNQ? That's because CNQ will never lay you off. They will make you miserable enough so you walk out on your own. Fucking smart company.

    Calgary? Lloyd? Field??
