I always though there was room to try and see if materials other than brass would make a good antenna. Maybe some sort of Bismuth/Molybdenum alloy that had special properties that naturally resonates and enhances certain frequencies put through it. But the USA? Doesn't even understand or try to understand or innovate anymore. They want to keep their patents on 2,000 part combustion cars - any which single part of which fails causes the whole thing to fail. Its literally the American way nowadays, keep yourself relevant through complexity and catastrophic failure.

Side note for future metallurgy chemists: It is very odd that a Bismuth crystal will tend to grow as a natural crystal what is considered to be a perfect antenna pattern. This is for reference and a donation to future generations to figure out, should Corona bite my ass.
