A battery only holds so much juice. Charging it doesn't make a difference if its charged.
What does make a difference is there being heat in the combustion chamber so the engine actually fires. And having the oil warm so it flows easier. And the engine being warm since there is less friction.
Yes, your battery being charged will allow the car to turn over... At the exact same rate if the battery was good.
Now, all of this is irrelevant because I haven't had a properly maintained car not start unplugged, even lots of 90's models.
If anything, you need a battery warmer, which will give you more CCA. Trickle charging a fully charged battery does nothing for heat.
