Huh, so that wasn't a a thing before? I knew I stopped worrying about it and I stopped thinking about it. Guess I'll continue that way.

No block heater in my 18 Sentra. Starts like it’s summer out Syntetic oil FTW
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Gasline antifreeze wasn't ever a "thing" in blended winter gas. Definitely not in any gas I've ever blended. Winter gas specs just have more light ends in them. Generally butane is added. It is supposed to give easier starts as lighter products atomize better at cold temperatures. But they also boil off a lot quicker and have less energy content so your gas mileage goes for shit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
10% ethanol is more than enough to keep gas from freezing at Calgary temps.
All this complaining ^ meanwhile...(taken this morning)
Those winter tires must cost a fortune. I'm paranoid enough whenever I see big chunks of snow/ice ahead in my car. It would drive me insane if I had even less clearance.
Yup. Just don't get any water in your tank and you should be fine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

legit tons of snow in Lower mainland today. Had a smooth drive to work this AM thankfully. Usually takes me 40 mins (Vancouver -> Surrey) today actually took me 35. Side streets were BAD.
Highway 91 was pretty much crystal clear, 2 thumbs up to the crews who obviously put in some work over night.

Weird, saw a grey Urus at bearspaw country club on the weekend. Everywhere now I guess.
I should be allowed to PIT maneouver people driving on all seasons. Sooner or later they're going to do it to themselves anyway. So much bumper plastic on the sides of the road this morning.
Not too bad, 245/30/20 front and 305/30/20 rear, ~$700/each for a decent winter tire. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
