Yeah but just because you're not all E=MC squared about lifting doesn't make you an ego lifter either. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyways, GF and I did it on Friday evening. I did 225 @ 225lbs, spent the whole day carbing up and she's cutting so she started hers at 135 and dropped down to 115 at 155lb bodyweight. Chalked up at set 10, belted up at 14, she got done pretty much bang on an hour and I finished like 2 minutes later. This is the first time I've done it in Chucks too instead of "proper" gym shoes and it felt so much better. We haven't done this one since October.
Approx 100g protein, plenty of glutamine and a bottle of (organic) wine later, I was pretty much useless for the night. We took the weekend off hamstrings are a little tight right now but my lower back is fine despite DDD and a spinal stenosis that I've had for years.

Fair enough lol. I glanced over all the walls of irrelevant text, guess I missed that bit too.
I kind of want to try this marathon business, but I honestly don't think I can do it. 245#. would probably be a good training to start working to a new personal record though.

I say stupid shit all the time.
There's no set formula, KC Mitchell used 225lbs in the video so I'd say it's safe to suggest 200lb + no need to attempt your own bodyweight, even go down a few lbs for safety's sake if necessary tho. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
@ LDS ..Yeah. I stuck to body weight to be on the safer side since I've never done anything similar before. I also didn't use a belt. Just straps for my wrist.

I’m gonna try this again tmr but 1 to 20
I’ll probably pound through the first 10 sets fairly quickly before crying at the end haha
Maybe I should go lower weight haha I only weigh in at 130 so maybe 125lb deadlift instead of 135 to make it easier lol

I'm 245lbs +/- on any given day. I used 225lbs.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I am looking forward to making time for this, it seems like a crazy idea. I'll try at 245 first for sure. That's nothing for DL, FOR AWHILE, the endurance aspect is the test here for sure! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
edit - to get back on topic, something something diet plan. I dunno, do the Atkins diet.

It's something else to try once in awhile for sure. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I suggest you run with 225lbs for the first go around. I agree 225 isn't much for DL but once you hit around set 15. The real battle starts, or at least for me it did and it gets more difficult than you're expecting.
