Zero debt, kids independent, still owning one property and $30k/yr income per person sounds okay. The value of the one property can cover end of life care and end of life medical, say last 10 years.
Probably on track to beat that.

I never really had a goal. I can’t see myself ever completely retiring unless I strike it really rich down the road.

Always live your best life at all times. Why wait till retirement to travel? Travel every year.

Beyond retirement threads? Jesus... lol.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
-H.P. Lovecraft
Retirement goals? 10 years, high five-figure income from passive sources.
Being real, I love the idea of being in my early 40's and not beholden to anyone or anything.
beyond standards lol
1mill every decade?
1mill at 30
2mill at 40
3mill at 50
Etc.

I'm already collecting a pension but no plans to retire yet. I enjoy the work I do and it keeps me fit and my mind active. My Dad just retired - he turns 84 next month and if his eyesight wasn't starting to degrade as much as it is, he'd probably still work. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Personally, I'm not one to fly anymore - I like the destinations but getting there is just not worth the hassle to me.
I used to volunteer quite a bit but don't anymore for the most part, guess I'm getting a bit more selfish with my downtime as I get older. As for mobility issues at 60, well I'm a couple of years away from 60 still and I'm probably in better shape than I've been in years although I know lots of people my age who are quite decrepit already.
Will fuck off, again.
Hopefully I can line up a sweet consulting gig and make neck bank while working little and have people listen
I’ll be happy if there is a time in my life where I can stop working and live a comfortable life.
Going to be an interesting 35 years. Whether that happens or not can’t really say at this juncture.

Heh, my next oldest brother sometimes gets mistaken for our Dad's brother - premature balding and greying too. I'm grey but still have a ton of hair, probably the longest it's been in over 30 years. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I will be somewhere between quiet, family focused life with outdoor activities, splitting time between lake and mountains... to full blown creepy old guy in a speedo hanging out by the pool in my hill top mansion in Malibu surrounded by paid company
Honestly, just enjoy my hobbies with more time to focus on them. My parents are retired, but my dad’s only hobby is traveling, which means when he is in town he is bored. I have several hobbies that I don’t currently have the money or time to throw at, but I can build on them over the years and embrace them fully when I retire.
So long as I can keep active, stay healthy, enjoy cars, music, photography etc. I’ll be happy.
