Imagine the progress & innovation that we all expected to occur in the last 16 years, and yet here we come full circle. Electric cars n such... Power Wheelchair Lady really was the Elon Musk Beyond never appreciated. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Due to COVID-19 and could potentially take years for a vaccine to be developed and distributed, these scooters are the best way to move people In short distances safely without confining into enclosed buses and LRT. Just make riders carry and use a pair of gloves. If anything, they should boost the amount of scooters in the city for people to use.
My Xiaomi M365 Pro has been so fun and I would use it more if they make it legal to use personally owned e-scooters. Guess once they have enough data from shared e-scooters pilot program then may see it happen.

Ok that looks cool. I kinda want it
Looks sweet but 12km range is rough. Mostly because they never get their rates ranges so that's more like 8km ... Can't even pop somewhere and back without charging at that pointThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ninebot isn't bad on ranges - I get 2/3rds to 3/4 of the "rated" range - and I'm well over their rated max capacity. Usual complaints come from old stock or being a fatass like meThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can confirm. My wife got way more distance and speed out of the escooters. Weight plays a huge role.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
Xiaomi and ninebot (since they bought Segway at least) seem to run with achievable ranges. There's a Reddit thread on one of the Dept store brands - that works out how they get their range... 100% efficient motor, no load, no rolling resistance and on paper it still came up a few mAH short for their claims. Call the motor 80% efficient, put a load on it, assume a reasonable rolling resistance - surprise - it works out to a real world ~50% of their claim. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. T15 seems to be marketed beside the es2, that ones got a 28km range. Thinking the T15 is more aimed at the last mile going to/from the subway/train. But more compact and easy to haul for those folks.
If it wasn't for my dignity and for winter I'd consider parking at one of those park and bike lots and heading downtown on an e-scooter
I doubt you'd ever get a ticket with one but apparently only the ride share ones are supposed to be on sidewalks..
