Federal Metals. Prices near the bottom of the page. $12.47/ft for 2x6x.188, so ~$90 for 7ft. Should still call ahead for current pricing.
You wouldn't happen to be making some rock sliders, would you?

Yah I need to start planning as the passenger side is getting bad and don't want to have it get into the body.
Yeah I'm in the same boat, passenger side is baaaad. Check out Timo_90xj's slider build on JF, he tied the sliders into the frame with some tube and plate which is a good idea.
Princess Auto has a small selection of metal products but I highly doubt they'll have what you're looking for.
Will fuck off, again.
Came for the Megadeth discussion, left disappointed.
Too loud for Aspen
I deal with Ryerson or Federal exclusively. Encore metals has more of speciality alloys. Metal supermarkets is horrifically over priced.
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side"
Yeah when they said $190 for 1/4" or $170 for 3/16 I slightly butt clenched. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Is Samuel Specialty Metals still operating? I used to get alloy offcuts and other oddball stuff from them back in the day but I haven't needed any in years. They were always awesome to deal with.
Metal Supermarkets blows.
My work buys aluminum from Samuel all the time.
Agreed, that is astronomical. Call up Ryerson and let everybody know what the price differential is.

Metal Supermarket is a convenience store and priced accordingly. They are open Saturdays are great for a handful of odds and ends when needed. This is like comparing milk and bread at a Co-op gas bar vs Costco.
