Why wait til spring? Start tomorrow. You have tons of time left, and we're getting a shitload of rain this year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If I start tomorrow I can only spray RoundUp once. Is that enough? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ohh right, I forgot about multiple rounds of roundup. idk, I'll have to defer to the experts here. hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would just dethatch, rake, overseed and top dress. Kill the weeds with par3 right before winter.
Tap, Rack, BANG!
Rent a sod cutter in the spring. Cut that shit out and re-sod or re-seed. I'll even lend you my utility trailer to pick it up.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Then come spring you'll be in contention for Beyond's best lawn. Sod in the fall is primo.
I don’t think* a sod cutter will get rid of quack grass. The roots are pretty deep. Personally, I’d hate to spend money and time redoing a lawn just to have that shit come back. It’s impossible to get rid of if the grass around it is healthy and you don’t want to kill everything.
*I might be wrong, I’m not that type of engineer.
Good point.
You chop the quack grass and it’ll spread worse.
In that case just move. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

This thread reminds me I need to find someone with a commercial license. I leave for a month and the weeds are back as dense as they were earlier this year.
Might just buy Ortho Killex concentrate and barely dilute it. Par3 is still pretty pricey if you can even get it from a UFA.

.
Go for it. You can even spray roundup and seed after on the same day. That's what I did in my back yard. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Where’s a good place to buy quality seed?
Like @ExtraSlow mentioned, go to any of the garden centers and get a local blend.
