Hello I am wondering if any guys on here have ever used ironman winter tires
I haven’t used those specifically but have tried various other cheap brands of winter tires.
And where are you buying these cheap good Chinese tires? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think I am going to try those cheap winter tire again, I have those "Zata" winter tires on my Audi for 3 year, so far so good, no complaint. Are they good? At least they do the job, and $240 a tire vs $700.. why not?

Hello also would federal be on the same level wise as the ironman brand or would it be better than ironman
Federal is pretty reputable. Have had a set on my odyssey for several winters. Very good. Job sells Federal.

The federals I was looking at was the Himalaya ws2

These only work if they are going on a regular old low power commuter car in my experiences. Years ago I bought a set for my 135i, and the tread blocks were so tall and soft it made the car nearly undriveable on pavement, traction control would trigger just driving around normally. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I have a set of summer Ironman tires on the fit.. They seem decent, no complaints but it's a fit and it so under powered..
That is true. I bought my sister a set of Himalaya WS2's, they work wonderful on that FWD beast. Soft like a Michelin X-Ice. But theres so many China tires nowadays, its hard to say which is good, which is bad. Westlake, Zeta, Rovelo, Laufenn. In my books, a cheap winter tire is better than an expensive all-season for winter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
These would be going on a fwd car doesn't have crazy HP 310
310hp is a lot for a FWD car.
Wheel hop and torque steer must be a bitch. I'd want some decent tires that would help mitigate those issues.

Car is a 2013 Chevrolet impala with the 3.6
You will still have a significant amount of torque out of a GM 3.6. IMO 1010 carries Ironman and sounds like it's a noisy tire but everyone seems to agree that get what you pay for. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I won't pay more than $100 per corner for these brands.
Go talk to UrbanExpression. They do have these low cost options even if it's not the exact same brand.
