Well you can't get the Rav4 Prime, so why would it's fancier brother be different?

They were told ~Q1 2022 for Non-hybrid, ~Q2 for hybrid, ~Q3 for PHEV, IIRC. The new NX looks like a big step up from last gen. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The new NX450h does look attractive. But I can imagine it'll be quite annoying with the screen turning white when the volume or dynamic setting being adjusted.
Our Sienna is pretty much the same drivetrain (prime has 50hp more power for front motor and obviously the bigger battery). The CVT saps the fun completely out of the drivetrain. Throttle response is terrible, even in sport mode, and mashing on the throttle takes time for the cvt to get into the right ratio. The prime and nx450h might be decent fast, and if it’s anything like the sienna, it’s a boring fast, if that makes any sense.
Brake feel also leaves a lot to be desired. The blend from regen to physical brakes is sloppy under hard braking.

Honestly I debate whether the cvt could be worse than the ancient 6 speed auto the nx currently has

Come on. We'll find you a wicked-sloppy CVT mated to some sort of ICE with coil pack issues and get you on your way! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

PHEV MR2 coming?
https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-new...k3oBLvQlqbutNY
if the rumours are to be believed, the two-door performance vehicle will be a member of Japan's burgeoning almost 300kW club, with a 2.8- or 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine complemented by an electric motor and lithium-ion battery to produce around 298kW.
And as the new MR2 will be a plug-in hybrid, according to the reports, then silent EV driving will also be on the cards, though no site has yet detailed battery size or range predictions.
Has anyone seen a Rav4 Prime on a dealer lot in Alberta yet? Ideally one available for purchase?
That's my personal measure of "available" for automobiles.

Anytime I see this thread pop up I get mad. I think its the title. I hate the title.
Or maybe I'm just a gas guzzling Albertan.
