Yes. It's good until it gets wet, then it sucks. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Gotta say, Vinyl Plank looks pretty good and is way tougher than any hardwood/laminate/engineered floor.
Vinyl plank is best. Wood is stupid. Engineered wood is even worse. B

Vinyl plank is just linoleum cut into smaller pieces lol. Genius marketing scheme.
X2. There is nothing special about it and it should be hilariously cheap. Instead, its price is inflated. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

What if I told you Linoleum was always better than hardwood?

That was a rocking storm last night, was directly overhead of us here in Chaparral, I'm sure my grass welcomed the flood of rain
Yeah except the cheaper vinyl planks are slippery as shit and you'll break your neck if not careful. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We have some in our basement and I can pull a Tom Cruise slide across the floor to easily.
This hot-cold deal isn't favoured by my lavenders.
We've had engineered, then a pre-finished hardwood on the main floor/upstairs. Dogs have managed to scratch the shit out of both. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Re-did the basement last year, went with vinyl plank. Seems indestructible, and looks pretty good. Can't say I find it any more slippery than any other flooring.
Tile that looks exactly like hardwood is the best IMO, and is completely dog-proof and spill-proof. If we ever get a dog that is what I'm installing.
Vinyl flooring sure has come a long ways though, I'd probably be just as happy with that as my current hardwood, and it would be more durable.
This. We did ceramic tile that looks like hardwood. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Dave was talking that stuff up. Sounds legit.
Any preference for stairs? Wonder which is hardest to install cleanly on stairs?

Dave & Son did our kitchen with it. It's awesome. I kind of want to replace the entire main floor with it now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Edit: Actually, after installing ours, his son and his wife were looking into doing their entire main floor. We saw them at the tile store we bought it from. I wonder if they did, and how it's working for them, as that was 6 years ago.
I have the tile too thanks to Dave. Only downside is that it’s a little harder on the feet. Aside from that it’s awesome playing floor hockey on it with no scratches.
